Irish Car Bomb: is usually made from Irish drinks, like Guinness
stout, Jameson Irish whiskey and Baileys Irish cream.
It is believed that the
name “Irish Car Bomb” has some reference to the noted Car Bombings in Northern
Ireland. Some bartenders find this term offensive and might refuse to serve it.
It is increasingly referred to simply as “Irish Bomb” (great drink) Guys
usually love this!
Fill half a chilled pint glass with Guinness, then fill a
shot glass with equal parts of baileys Irish cream and Jameson Irish whiskey in
the same order. Cream first and then whiskey, drop the shot glass in the half-filled
pint glass and serve. The drink needs to be consumed relatively quickly, cause
the cream causes it to curdle and the drink is no good after that.
