Solar Eclipse Of Course!

Ok, check out my new recipe in honor of the upcoming Solar Eclipse. Here is what you need grenadine, olives, 1/3 Dry Gin or any clear spirit of your choice and 2/3 sloe gin In a chilled martini glass drop a olive and add enough grenadine to bury it. Mix Gin and Sloe gin and shake over ice and very gently pour on the grenadine, so that it does not mix. If it mixes don't sweat it, just enjoy the drink. Tastes just as good. Garnish with orange peel.

Sloe gin is a red liqueur made with gin and sloe drupes, which are a small fruit relative of the plum.  The traditional way of making sloe gin is to soak the sloes in gin. Sugar is required to ensure the sloe juice is extracted from the fruit.
